Webber: Clean slate for 2011 title battle

Mark Webber is confident that the 'reset button' has been set for his world championship fight with team-mate Sebastian Vettel next year, thanks to him benefiting from some tough growing pains he went through with Red Bull Racing chiefs in 2010. On the back of a sometimes fraught battle with Vettel during this year, which often put the Australian in direct conflict with team management, Webber reckons that he and the outfit are now much better placed to make the most of their opportunities next season

Rea: Honda MotoGP test unbelievable

Jonathan Rea described his four-day MotoGP test with Honda this week as a 'dream come true' - but says he is still focused on World Superbikes for now. The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland, who has finished in the top five in World Superbikes for Ten Kate Honda in both his seasons in the championship, had a four-day run with Honda's MotoGP test team at Sepang.

Montezemolo: Ecclestone presence vital

Bernie Ecclestone's continued control over Formula 1 is vital if the sport is to secure its long-term future, believes Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo. Ahead of what is expected to be some tough discussions over the next two years to frame a new Concorde Agreement from the start of 2013, there has been renewed talk about teams considering a breakaway if they cannot get the extra finances they want to earn from commercial rights holder. Di Montezemolo says that the future path for the teams is far from certain yet but there is one thing he is adamant about - that Ecclestone must say at the helm.
